An investment promotion and protection agreement and a memorandum of understanding were signed, for cooperation in the industry domain between Angola and Mozambique.
The first instrument was signed by the ministers responsible for diplomacy form Angola, Mr. Georges Chikoti, and from Mozambique, Mr. Oldemiro Baloi, whereas the second instrument was signed by this and by the holder of responsible for the Industry in Angola, Ms. Bernarda Gonçalves Martins Henriques da Silva.
Both legal instruments were signed during the State visit of the President of Mozambique, Mr. Jacinto Nyusi, to Angola, in November, aiming to strengthen the friendship and cooperation relation between both States.
Up to now, 22 agreements were signed between both countries and a memorandum of understanding, thereby revealing that these countries intend to cooperate, specially in the sectors of tourism, finance, trading, education, petroleum and gas.
According to the responsible parties of both countries, the singed agreement for fostering and protection of investments shows that both governments aim at creating the conditions to boost cooperation between Angola and Mozambique and a better environment for the entrepreneurs of both countries.
Soon an agreement to visa facilitation shall be signed, and this will add to the existing agreement for suppression of visa in diplomatic and service passports.
Also signed an agreement between the Angolan and Mozambican airlines, TAAG and LAM, to speed up business and cooperation between both States.
