Further to enactment of the Presidential Decree no. 56/18, of 20 February 2018, it is established the exempt, as well as the simplification of administrative procedures intended for the grant of tourist visa.
The mentioned exemption is established on a reciprocity basis and allows stays up to 30 days per visit or 90 days per year, without prejudice of the already existent border formalities. The exemption is applicable to the Republic of Botswana, Mauritius, Seychelles, Zimbabwe and Singapore.
In turn, under the simplification of the administrative procedures, both diplomatic missions and consular offices of the Republic of Angola are required to issue tourist visas within a period of no more than 3 working days. Additionally, shall be allowed the online application for such visas through the official internet site of the Angola Migration Services – under this one procedure, a pre-authorization for the entrance in the country shall be issued.
The simplification of the administrative procedures intended shall be applied to certain countries across Africa, Asia, Oceania, America (including United States of America and Canada) and Europe (including the European Union countries, United Kingdom and Northern Ireland).
These measures shall enter into force on 30 March 2018.
